About the Product

Aliness Japan Sencha is sourced from Japanese plantations and crafted from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis bush, grown organically in Japan - without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilisers.

Immediately after harvest, the leaves undergo steam blanching lasting just a few seconds - the traditional Japanese mushi technique that halts enzymatic oxidation. This preserves their beautiful yellow-green colour and rolls them into the characteristic vertical needle shapes of sencha. The resulting infusion is fresh, with an intensely vegetal aroma and a gentle, pleasant bitterness.

How to Brew

1. Add 1 teaspoon (2 g) of leaves to a cup or infuser.
